A raised flooring is a construction system where a new floor is installed above the building’s original concrete slab, creating a void between the two. This space is used to conceal electrical cabling, data services, and mechanical pipework.
Raised floors are also commonly known as access flooring, low-profile flooring, or raised access flooring.
Once installed, raised flooring can be finished with a wide range of coverings, including carpet tiles, vinyl, linoleum, high-pressure laminate, rubber, timber, marble, stone, or ceramic tiles, to suit the design and function of the space.
